While we hope to offer other multiples and survivors a place to express themselves, we do not provide professional counseling of any nature, nor do we offer crisis intervention.

Neither The Gathering Place nor its staff shall be held liable or responsible in any way for the well-being or personal safety of any individual who utilizes this site. This site is for information and support only and is to be used as one tool in each individual's healing process. Anyone relying solely upon this site for the only means of support and safety does so at his or her own risk.

If you or someone you know is suicidal or otherwise in crisis, please contact your therapist, 911, or local mental health/crisis hotline.

The management of this site reserves the right to:

(a) terminate and/or remove any discussions that interfere with the safety and/or well-being of this site's membership as a whole, or with that of any of its members, patrons, or staff;
(b) ban from the site and any of its features and services any user deemed significantly disruptive to the site, its owners and its management, and/or any of its other patrons;
(c) cease all contact, if appropriate, with any site user who meets the conditions of (a) and/or (b) above, with no obligation to give notice of such cessation of contact.
(d) report without notice any such individual to the appropriate internet-service provider(s) or other account-service management for possible action against said user's account(s).

(1) At any message boards or other interactive features that may be operated in conjunction with The Gathering Place, posts about sensitive issues may be made in designated areas if they have an appropriate trigger warning. Posts with RA/SRA content must have the words "RA/SRA Content" in the message title, and an appropriate icon/emoticon, where available.
(2) In instant messages and email, we do not accept messages expressing an intent to self-harm, nor are we able to provide crisis intervention.
